Gunsmiths

 

The gunsmith and Mr. Atkin were always busy making and repairing guns. Christopher Atkin and his workers worked with iron, steel, brass, silver, and wood. In the Eighteenth Century they called their guns "works of arts"! A gun had three main parts: the barrel, stock, and flintlock. In a barrel there's a tube of iron where the ammunition is placed.Christopher Atkin performed his tasks in the eighteenth century making guns. Christopher Atkin was a master gunsmith. He never stopped working because guns were very important for families to protect themselves and to hunt for food.
